Elements of our Universe

Poster - Light

The elements of our universe are not evenly distributed. The most abundant elements in our universe are those with the simplest atomic structures — like hydrogen and helium — because they formed in large amounts during the earliest moments after the Big Bang, long before stars had time to forge heavier elements.

Using the area of the poster itself as a visualization of the area of the universe, the poster is split into vertical columns for each element, with relative areas matching the size of that elements abundance in percentage by mass.
